GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA) COURSE, JECA - 2007
Admission to MCA course offered by the different Government/Private Engineering Colleges, Universities and Institutes of the State of West Bengal during the academic session 2007-2008 is open to candidates who are Indian citizens and who have either passed or are appearing in the Bachelor’s degree final examination in any discipline from any recognized university with Mathematics and/or Statistics as one of the Subjects in 10+2+3 pattern subject to the condition that they have to appear for a Written Test conducted by the “WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD, SLATER HALL, BENGAL ENGINEERING & SCIENCE UNIVERSITY, SHIBPUR CAMPUS, HOWRAH – 711 103. The written test will be held on SUNDAY, the 27 th MAY, 2007.
This admission to MCA course will be governed by the Reservation policy of the State Government. There is no restriction regarding age of the candidates.
APPLICATION : Candidate intending to appear in the said Joint Entrance Examination-2007 shall have to apply in a prescribed form which will be available from 07.03.2007 to 07.04.2007 from the Branches of UNITED BANK OF INDIA at Bardhaman (Station Rd. Br.),Berhampur, Bolpur, Chinsurah, Durgapur, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalyani, Kharagpur, Malda, Purulia, Siliguri, Tamluk and Kolkata & Howrah – College Street, Jadavpur, Shyambazar, Salt Lake (Mayuk Bhavan) and B.E. College Extn. Counter between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days and between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on SATURDAYS (except Holidays and Sundays) on payment of Rs.350.00 (Rupees three hundred fifty only) in CASH. Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced. The forms may also be obtained from the Office of the BOARD ONLY through Postal request by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.350/- (three hundred and fifty) payable to ‘WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD at HOWRAH alongwith a self-addressed envelope (26 cm x 13 cm) affixing postal stamp of Rs.40/- so as to reach West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, Slater Hall, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur, Howrah – 711 103 on or before 30 th MARCH, 2007.
SUBMISSION : The duly filled in application form has to be sent in the printed envelop supplied with the application form by Speed Post only so as to reach the Office of the Board by 16.04.2007. There is no provision for selling or receiving of Application Form with late fee from the Board Office.
